Borrowing and returning books

Borrow and return

To borrow printed books from the Almedalsbiblioteket, you must first create an account. The Campus card does not function as a library card at Campus Gotland.

Self-service machines for borrowing and returning books are located on floors 2 and 3. You can also leave books in the book drop at the back of the library (Kaserngatan). 

To renew your loans, log in to your library account. For interlibrary loans – contact fjarrlan.almedalsbiblioteket@gotland.se

Books for pickup

Books that you have ordered or queued for can be found on a shelf on level 2 (by the stairs, near the information desk).

Interlibrary loans

Interlibrary loans are available at the information desk on level 2. You can only check out interlibrary loans when the library is open (see opening hours above).

Food and drink

  • No food is allowed in the library.
  • Water and coffee is allowed.

COURSE BOOKS

Almedalsbiblioteket has course literature for all courses offered at Campus Gotland.

Accessibility

The library has two public floors. Door openers are located at the entrance from Cramérgatan 5. Lifts are available from the foyer and from the Campus Gotland entrance. There are accessible toilets on floors 2 and 3 and in the foyer. Search computers on adjustable tables are available.
