Book a course for your students

As a lecturer at Uppsala University you can book course in information retrieval at the Library for your students.

The teaching is customised according to level, subject and wishes from you as a lecturer. The students will benefit most from the course if it is timetabled to coincide with the writing of a student paper or essay.

Examples of course content:

  • presentation of the Library's resources of printed and digital material
  • presentation of the Library's special collections of manuscripts, pictures etc.
  • general guidance for searching through sources and finding references
  • information about subject specific databases and searching techniques

The courses are given as lectures or as workshops.

The courses are held in the subject libraries, which is also where you can book a course and discuss how it should be conducted.

The service Book a Librarian is a complement to our courses, giving individual help when working on a student paper or a doctoral thesis.
