Simple search
A simple search uses free text searching in the following fields: title, person or organisation, motif and keywords. You can write in the beginning of a word or a whole word. You can also combine words for example Stockholm Vintern 1800-talet (i.e. Stockholm winter 19th century).
Advanced search
Use Advanced search if you wish to do a more exact search or use fields other than those used in the Simple search. Fill in one or more fields, e.g. title, year, name or keyword.
Keyword search
You can browse all the keywords to get an idea of what PictureSearch contains. All words are linked to at least one image.
You can write part of a word in the search box. For example: Byggnader gives a list of the following keywords Biblioteksbyggnader, Byggnader, Domstolsbyggnader, Industribyggnader, Sjukhusbyggnader and so on.
Search for a person
You can look for people who are in some way connected to a picture (e.g. the creator or the subject of a picture). If you only want to see pictures where the person has a particular relationship to a picture, e.g. artist or subject, please us the Advanced search option.
Too many hits?
If the number of hits is too great, then add another keyword.
No hits?
Either try a new keyword or browse the list of keywords.
