There are a large number of music scores at Carolina Rediviva, both manuscripts and printed scores. In order to locate the majority of the older scores you need to be at the Library to be able to use the catalogues maintained by the Section for Manuscripts and Music. However some musical scores are in the following online catalogues:
- Medieval music manuscripts in the Catalogue of medieval manuscripts. In German only.
- RISM - international catalogue of music manuscripts before ca. 1800, including those of Uppsala University Library.
- Aurivillius - a catalogue printed in 1814 of books, journals and music prints held at the Uppsala University Library prior to 1797.
- Düben database - a catalogue of the Düben Collection which consists of vocal and instrumental music from the 17th and early 18th centuries. These are mainly manuscripts. A large number of the scores have been scanned and are accessible online in the database.
- Uppsala University Library Catalogue. Here you can find scores from 1986 and onwards.
- LIBRIS - the Swedish national library catalogue. This includes the Swedish production of printed music.
NB At present the above catalogues cover only a small part of the collections of music scores at Uppsala University Library. The Section for Manuscripts and Music are happy to help you with other searches in our Music collections.
