Welcome to an exhibition of wedding photographs 1870-1970 from the Library collection.
Bridal couples have visited the professional photographers since the end of the 19th century. The wedding photography looks much the same during the years, although the photos of the brides and bridegrooms of today sometimes try to find an expression of their own. But almost all bridal couples have one thing in common; in spite of all the private cameras, they have turned to a professional photographer – the wedding photographer.
