This collection consists of individual manuscripts that have landed up in the Library from the time of its founding in 1620. It is ordered according to subject as follows:

  • X Swedish genealogy and biography - here you can find the family histories of Almquist, Bielke, Cederström, Drake af Hagelsrum, Henschen, Nauckhoff, Oxenstierna af Eka and Lindö, Posse, Rosenhane, Spens, Tersmeden-Eketrä as well as Gahm Persson's biographic collections. Also some Swedes' travels abroad

We are happy to help you with your searches at the Section for Manuscripts. First you use the index of manuscripts which will refer you to a bound catalogue containing more information on the content of the manuscripts. The catalogue also provides information on the location of the manuscript, i.e. its shelfmark.


If you are in the Library, you can order a document and have it brought to the special reading room the same day for you to study.
