First you use the index of manuscripts which will refer you to a bound catalogue containing more information on the content of the manuscripts. The catalogue also provides information on the location of the manuscript, i.e. its shelfmark.
If you are in the Library, you can order a document and have it brought to the special reading room the same day for you to study.
