A large part of Uppsala University Library's early imprints pre-1796 are listed in Pehr Fabian Aurivillius' Catalogus Bibliothecae Regiae Academiae Upsaliensis. This is kept in the Special Reading Room at Carolina Rediviva and is used together with a handwritten inventory. Both the Aurivillius catalogue and the Inventariet are now also available online.
In the catalogue room at Carolina Rediviva there is a closed catalogue of our printed items up to and including 1962, known as Catalogue 1962. It is available online. Catalogue 1962 does not include the oldest items and therefore must be used together with Aurivillius' catalogue.
There are also special catalogues for the special collections. See the individual collection under "Special collections".
At present only a small part of the library's older printed collections are in the Swedish national catalogue LIBRIS and in the Uppsala University Library Catalogue. We are however working on this continually.
