About the library

The Ångström library is one of the Uppsala University Library's subject libraries and it specialises in Astronomy, Physics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Materials Chemistry and Technology.

The library is open for the general public, but its primary mandate is to serve the researchers, teachers and students at the Ångström Laboratory and the Information Technology Center (ITC).

The Ångström library is part of the so called Linnaeus library group of the Uppsala University Library that together serve the faculties of medicine, pharmacy, science and technology.

Finding the library

The Ångström library is in house no. 1 between houses 6 and 8 of the Ångström Laboratory. The library is on two floors, level 1 and level K1. There is a lift in the library between the two levels. All staff at the Ångström Laboratory and the ITC have round the clock access with their key cards to the whole library, students however are restricted to the library's opening times. At all other times, students may use the outer part of the library on level 1 and can open the library's computer room with their key cards.

For more information about the library's resources, see our folder on the right.
