Uppsala University Library - an active partner for researchers, teachers and student

This is how we see the future:

• the library is nearby wherever the researcher happens to be - at his/her computer, in the laboratory, in the operating theatre or out in the woods
• unique and rare books in electronic form in Uppsala bought or subscribed to by the Library as full text databases. More digital projects and more works becoming electronically accessible.
• a digital archive for the University's research run and securely maintained by the Library in accordance with approved Open Access praxis
• more and better graphic information in all subjects including medicine, chemistry, geography, art, anthropology
• unlimited raw data saved together with the research findings by the Library as a guarantor for its authenticity
• holdings continuing to increase as the Library adds to its collections with digitalised versions
• the information jungle is opened up with the help of the Library staff that continually hones its skills in information science and technology
